Jammu, Oct 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is yet to decide the fate of 11 candidates, who have shown qualified the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) exams the result of which was declared on August 8, but are yet to get green signal to join their services.
A petition, pending in High Court, has reportedly challenged the disability of some candidates, alleging that some of them have got fake certificates of disability and the court had directed the JKPSC to submit reply till October 10 but so far no response has been got by petitioners.
According to sources, the JKPSC had declared the result of 277 posts of JKAS 2016 after which the candidates were deployed for medical reports from respective Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir region. Srinagar, Oct 10: Around ten persons consume poison in Kashmir on an average daily, according to data furnished by the SMHS hospital. Most of the cases, the data reveals, come from South and North Kashmir. The data, however, is silent about deaths due to poisoning.
