Jammu, Oct 15: A prominent freelance journalist and national media panelist on TV debates, has accused the Director Information of trying to prevent media persons from meeting the three member Fact Finding Committee of the Press Council of India during their visit to Kashmir which concluded on October 15.
The journalist who contributes for international and national media houses said despite having asked the Information department to register his name for the interaction, the department had denied him the meeting.
“Even my name was not mentioned in the list of journalists aspiring to meet the visiting dignitaries and that the police outside the premises was equally reluctant to let me in. Finally I managed to get in touch with the visiting dignitaries over phone and they personally facilitated my meeting one-on-one,” the journalist said.

Poonch, Oct 15: Junior staff nurses posted at District Hospital Poonch have alleged that a few of their influential colleagues are getting concessions while performing their duties.

SRINAGAR, Oct 15: The Government Bulletin on COVID informed that 51 new positive cases of novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), 04 from Jammu division and 47 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 330885.
