Jammu, Oct 18: The forthcoming Block Development Council (BDC) elections in Jammu & Kashmir have exposed the cracks within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Thursday, the saffron party expelled 8 of its leaders for indulging in anti-party activities. According to the media reports, the BJP leaders at many places are contesting the BDC elections against the official candidates of the party and the BJP state leadership is very much aware about it.

Sources said on intelligence inputs that the anti-national forces could create trouble in Jammu city, it has been decided that apart from beefing up the regular security grid, the JKP would deploy around 2,000 cops in civvies in some of sensitive areas only in a bid to maintain extra vigil.
