‘All is not well’ in Azad’s party, ego-clashes likely to hit party | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 1: Even as Ghulam Nabi Azad has been elected as chairman of the Democratic Azad Party (DAP), all is not well in the newly launched political outfit due to the ego-clash among some big leaders.
Due to prevailing uncertainty in the newly floated political party, some leaders who had earlier resigned from the Congress party have approached the party leadership for re-joining the Congress.
Highly placed sources said that differences among leaders were emerged during the very first rally on September 5 when Ghulam Nabi Azad addressed his first public meeting after resigning from Congress.
“Infighting started on the issue of a banner which was installed on the stage. A banner already installed on the stage was uprooted by another leader just before the rally”, sources said and added that this action enraged another leader who left the venue in anger.
Sources said that from September 5 infighting among loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad has been going on, rather differences are further widening with every passing day.
