Politicians who bagged just 10 percent vote share to become rulers stand exposed | Even after 77 days no one comes out to seek release of Kashmir-centric leaders | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 21: Kashmir-centric leaders who used to claim that they are the representatives of people have been under detention for more than past 77 days. Interestingly, no one except a few relatives of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah have come out on the streets to seek their release.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "The so called representatives don't seem to enjoy any public support despite running the affairs of Jammu & Kashmir for the past 70 years. It is strange the former MLAs and the incumbent MP from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah had no one to fall back upon."
It is in place to mention here that even the NC, Congress and PDP leaders lodged at posh Centaur Hotel on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar have failed to make any impact as no have come out to seek their release.
The analyst said, "During the past thirty years Kashmir-centric politicians have thrived on boycott politics. They managed to get 5 to 10 percent votes and claimed that they have been elected by the people but all their claims have been punctured during the past 77 days."
