Wazir’s murder case: Twist in the tale, Sudershan Singh discharged | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 21: The sensational murder of former National Conference MLC and prominent transporter Tarlochan Singh Wazir took another twist when a Court in Delhi discharged his cousin and another prominent leader Sudershan Singh Wazir from this case.
Seventeen months after the gruesome murder of Conference Tarlochan Singh Wazir at Delhi, his cousin and another National Conference leader Sudershan Singh Wazir was arrested in February this year.
After spending over nine months in custody, a Court in Delhi discharged three persons including a senior National Conference leader Sudershan Singh Wazir from the murder of a prominent Sikh leader and his party colleague Tarlochan Singh Wazir, who also happened to be his cousin.

India’s one more wanted terrorist gunned down in Pakistan | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Oct 21: The killing of India’s most wanted terrorist on the soil of Pakistan is going unabated as Dawood Malik, a close aide of Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar was shot dead in North Waziristan by unknown gunmen.
According to reports in Pakistani media, Malik, termed a tribal elder, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Pakistan’s North Waziristan.
Police said that it was a targeted attack carried out by unknown masked men in Mirali area of the North Waziristan tribal district.
This is the eleventh killing of India’s most wanted terrorists on the soil of Pakistan.

Jammu, Oct 21: A day after former Sadr-e-Rasayat of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Karan Singh demanded assembly polls, chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad echoed this demand.
While addressing a rally in Batamaloo Azad said that there was no reason to delay assembly elections in J&K. He was of the opinion that bureaucratic rule was not an alternative to the popular government.
While pointing toward the prevailing situation in J&K, Azad said that there is complete normalcy so delaying assembly polls is sending the wrong signals.

JAMMU, Oct 21: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday ordered transfer of three top ranked police officers here.
As per the order, Chandan Kohli, IPS (AGMUT:13), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu in pursuance of the approval of Competent Authority to the appointment of him as Deputy Secretary in the Senior Executive Cadre of the Cabinet Secretariat, on deputation basis, for a period of four years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the officer is relieved from the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, to enable him to take up the new assignment at the Centre.
