Handwara narco-terror case: Drug mafia involved in funding terrorist groups

Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 22: After filing chargesheet against narco-terrorists, investigation agencies have established cross-border links in the infamous Handwara narco-terrorism case. One Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) was also arrested in this high-profile case in which terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) were directly involved. According to reports NIA has already arrested the 12th accused in connection with the Handwara narco-terrorism case from Kupwara for his alleged involvement in the supply of narcotics, cash and arms, and ammunition through the Line of Control (LOC). The case was initially registered on June 11, 2020, at Handwara Police Station and later it was taken over by the NIA on June 23, 2020, by re-registering the case. On August 29, 2021 NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet, against the arrested terrorists in the Handwara narco-terrorism case, exposing the nefarious designs of terror groups. Agencies New Delhi, Oct 22: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will celebrate Dussehra with Army soldiers at a forward base in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang on Tuesday, sources in the security establishment said. The defence minister is also set to perform "Shastra Puja" (worship of weapons) in Tawang, they said. Infiltration bid foiled in Uri sector

Early Times Report URI, Oct 22: Security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, the army said on Sunday. "In a Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & Intelligence agencies on 21 Oct 23, an infiltration bid was foiled by alert troops along #LoC in #Uri sector, Baramulla,” the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Army wrote in a post on X. Agencies New Delhi, Oct 22: Faced with a tricky terrain in the Himalayas, engineers of the Indian Railways have developed a new tunnelling method to complete the construction of Tunnel-1 on the 111-km-long Katra-Banihal section of the Kashmir rail link project.
