Middle-East based firm visits Kashmir for million-dollar investments as babus 'forget' to promote Jammu! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 23: With the Jammu and Kashmir administration seemingly failing to look into the interests of Jammu province since the abrogation of Article 370, a Middle-East based Multi-National Company (MNC) has visited restive Kashmir looking ahead to the invest in the militancy-infested valley.
Official sources said a five-member delegation of the UAE based firm recently visited the valley to hold discussions with the local businessmen, and also with the official machinery.
The multinational firm is willing to make million dollar investment in Kashmir and that the representatives of the firm held detailed discussions with the officials of the State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO).
The MNC, which looks ahead to invest in the agriculture and food processing sector in Kashmir is understood to have held discussions with the fruit growers in Kashmir.
"They held discussions with the apple, walnut and saffron growers in particular," said a source privy to the discussion.
The sources said the delegation has asked samples of Saffron and Walnuts when.
