Srinagar, Oct 23: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar on Saturday on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir following two weeks of intense terror activity and a number of civilian killings.

Srinagar, Oct 23: Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said terrorism has gone down in Kashmir, and assured strict action against those who disturb peace, adding that no one would be allowed to obstruct development in the union territory.
"Terrorism has reduced, stone pelting has become invisible and ...I want to assure you that strict action will be taken against those who want to ruin peace of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar, Oct 23: Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said delimitation would be done in Jammu and Kashmir, which would be followed by elections, and eventually statehood would be restored.
Speaking in Srinagar on Saturday, he said, "Democracy should not suffer. People say stop delimitation, why should delimitation be stopped?"

Jammu, Oct 23: Non-local labourers returning from Kashmir and reaching Jammu are facing immense hardships as the government has failed to provide them any facilities.
The non-locals started migrating from the Valley after militants shot dead eleven people, including five non-locals in different attacks across Kashmir. “Despite the government being aware of us fleeing Kashmir nothing has been done for us. There is no shelter, no food, no train tickets. We have been left to fend on our own,” the labourers said.

Srinagar, Oct 23: Even as scores of non-locals have been fleeing Kashmir in the wake of “target killings”, many of them are still “stranded helplessly” due to nonpayment of their dues by locals while the administration is allegedly silent on the issue.
