Is Shabir Shah going to shun separatism, join mainstream politics? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 24: The decision of the Minister of Home Affairs to review the ban imposed on the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDEP) fuelled rumours that prominent jailed separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah is going to shun separatism to join mainstream politics before the Lok Sabha election.
The JKDEP-one of the constituent of the All Party Hurriyat Conference was founded by Shabir Ahmed Shah who was arrested on July 25, 2017, in the case in which the Special Cell of Delhi Police had earlier arrested his close aide Aslam Wani.
He was arrested in connection with over a decade-old money laundering case against him for alleged terror financing.
A Delhi court in 2017 issued a non-bailable warrant against the separatist leader. The agency had issued several summons to Shah over the last few years in pursuance of the August 2005 case, wherein the Delhi Police's Special Cell had arrested Mohammed Aslam Wani (35), an alleged hawala dealer, who had claimed that he passed on Rs 2.25 crore to Shah.

Jammu, Oct 24: Financial conditions of the neigbouring Pakistan are going from bad to worse as seventy-seven flights of Pakistan International Airlines due to non-availability of fuel.

Srinagar, Oct 24: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said if the conflict in the Middle East spread beyond Gaza, a large number of Indians working in the region will be affected.

New Delhi, Oct 24: The Delhi High Court has stayed the discharge of three accused from charges in the murder case of National Confrence leader Trilochan Singh Wazir.
Delhi Police had approached the High Court against the discharge of the three accused and mentioned the matter before the Chief Justice.
Justice Vikas Mahajan on Saturday after hearing the revision of Delhi Police stayed the operation of the discharge of three accused namely Balbir Singh alias Billa, Rajinder Chaudhary alias Ganja and Sudershan Singh Wazir.
