New Delhi, Oct 27: Ahead of polls for Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has been caught in the midst of controversies.
After banning bursting of crackers on Diwali in Delhi, Kejriwal tried to play the religious card by urging the Centre to put the pictures of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on the currency notes but his move back fired as it evoked sharp reactions even from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters.
Music composer Vishal Dadlani also posted a cryptic tweet about religious politics and the role of religion in the government, without naming any specific party. Dadlani, in the past, has been known to back AAP on most issues.
Without mentioning any political party in his tweet, Vishal Dadlani wrote, “The Constitution of India states that we are the Secular Socialist Republic. New Delhi, Oct 27: Cricketer turned politician, Gautam Gambhir, left the Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal embarrassed on Thursday after he tweeted his old letter to him about Ghazipur landfill row.
Gambhir, who is also Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) east Delhi MP accused Kejriwal of caring about the site only before the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections.
Gambhir said that he visited the Ghazipur landfill mountain “eight times since 2019” and despite asking the chief minister to come there “again and again”, he did not.

New Delhi, Oct 27: Congress on Thursday accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of blowing away Rs 490 crore on advertisements in 17 months during COVID-19 pandemic.
'Ye chhota recharge bahut chatur hai', the Congress wrote on twitter.
"Kejriwal blew 490 crores on advertisements in just 17 months amid the Corona epidemic," a tweet on Congress' official Twitter handle read.
"Ads, ads and just ads. This is the model of Kejriwal. Don't work, promote too much. Manage the media, it's done," another tweet by Congress read.

Jammu, Oct 27: Police foiled a plan of terrorists to possibly trigger an IED blast and recovered 18 detonators near the Jammu railway station here, officials said.
Police were alerted after an abandoned bag was found in an 'nallah' (drain) near the taxi stand, they said.
