JAMMU, Oct 28: The efforts of senior BJP senior leader and National General Secretary, in charge J&K Ram Madhav, who has been lobbying in New Delhi for formation of Sajjad Lone led coalition government in the State after Governor administration unearthed huge scam in appointments during the previous BJP-PDP government.

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Despite repeated directives by the government, most of the departments have failed to implement the House committees reports and submission of action taken reports (ATR) to Legislative Assembly and Council.
Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker, Nirmal Kumar Singh in May constituted various House Committees for the year 2018-19.
The government framed the House committees comprising of Assembly members. These committees every year review the working and submit recommendations to the departments.

Srinagar, Oct 28: The desperation to see his parents prompted Jammu and Kashmir Police's sub-inspector Imtiyaz Ahmed Mir to shave off his beard and change appearance in his unsuccessful attempt to dodge militants who had laid a death trap for him in his village, his colleagues said on Sunday.
Mir, 30, was shot dead by militants at Wahibug in the militancy-infested Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Sunday when he was on his way home.

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Militants shot dead a worker of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Gangbugh area here today in the evening. A manhunt has been launched to nab the militants who carried out the attack.
Reports said that some militants barged into the house of Ghulam Mohammad Dar at Gangbugh-Hyderpora here and fired upon many bullets on his son Mohammad Amin Dar. Amin sustained grievous injuries in the firing incident and was shifted to Jhelum Valley College (JVC) hospital at Bemina.
