Rajouri, Oct 28: An Operation Theatre technician at Government Medical College Rajouri was terminated from services for updating her Whatsapp status, to celebrate Pakistan’s victory over India in the ICC T20 World Cup match on Sunday.

Jammu, Oct 28: Amid a sudden spike in the “target killing” of non-locals in Kashmir, two such persons have died under mysterious circumstances in less than a week in the valley.
In the latest incident, on October 28, a non-local resident was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Yousmarg area of Chararisharief in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday morning.
An official said that the body of non-local person was spotted by some locals at Sukhnag Yousmarg, who accordingly informed police.

Twenty days have been passed but authorities still failed to come out with a clear picture of the number of terrorists hiding in the forest and their locations.

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested the Manager and few other employees of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) depot at Shaheed Ganj, Srinagar for demanding and accepting bribe for unloading the truck. ACB initiated the action after it received a written complaint alleging therein that employees of FCI Depot Srinagar are unnecessarily delaying to unload the Truck and issuance of challan thereof. BARAMULLA, Oct 28: A local hybrid militant from Kulgam was killed in retaliation after he fired upon the army in the Cherdari area of this north Kashmir district on Thursday morning, said police.
Police said that the militants fired indiscriminately on the army's patrol party that was retaliated during which a local militant was killed. Body has been retrieved from the site.
