Infighting intensified in BJP after announcement of BDCs elections | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: Infighting in state unit BJP has been intensified with the announcement of elections for Block Development Councils (BDCs) because leaders at district level have started projecting their loyalists for party mandates.
Election Department has announced BDCs elections on party basis so hectic lobbying has been started within the party to get mandate for these polls.
Credible sources said that recommendation of Mandal and Zila committees of BJP is important for giving mandate to any candidate for BDCs elections so Mandal and Zila presidents are trying their best to accommodate only their loyalists at the cost of deserving candidates. Instead of recommendation names of dedicated BJP workers for BDCs elections, Mandal and Zila presidents, sources said, are trying to projects only those leaders who have recently joined party to settle score with their opponents within the party. As large number of BJP supporters had won Panchayat elections, party leaders are thinking that party candidates would easily won BDCs polls.

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Administration is working on a plan to boost confidence of the shopkeepers in hartal-bound Kashmir for resuming business activities by deploying cops in civvies in central business district of Lal Chowk.
Sources said the traders have told the administration that the fear of arson and stone pelting has been preventing shopkeepers in market places like Lal Chowk, Regal Chowk, Hari Singh High Street and Batmaloo in particular to resume business for the past around two months since the abrogation of Article 370 on Aug 5, 2019.

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Amid the prevailing crisis, the elderly people and students are worst affected due to continuous shutdown in Kashmir.
The Kashmir is under shutdown and facing communication blockade since August 5 following the Centre's decision of abrogation of Article 370, 35A and bifurcation of state into two union territories.
