Strange! Jobs for militants, nothing for unemployed Jammu youth | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: The recent announcement of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Kumar Sinha, offering government jobs to militants in Kashmir, has not gone well with the peaceful unemployed youth in Jammu region.
These youth are of the opinion that they have been “abandoned” by the administration as no new government jobs as well as new avenues of development are opening up for them.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday while launching the third phase of the Back to Village campaign in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, made an appeal to militants to shun the path of violence and extremism and offered them government jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Sinha reportedly said, “Few misguided youth have abandoned the path of success and dignified life and have opted the path of violence and extremism. Jammu, Oct 3: While the Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone has expelled senior leader Junaid Mattoo from the party, the development has widened the cracks within the party.
Sources said Sajad is not enjoying good terms with some of his party leaders and that there was possibility that some of the leaders from the party may join “rebel group.”
Sources said some of the leaders in question are accused of indiscipline in the party and are also accused of having spoiled the image of the party by indulging in anti-party activities.

JAMMU, Oct 3: The casual approach of the School Education Department (SED) of JK UT has virtually created huge problems for the repatriation of lecturers from Ladakh who were posted there before the reorganization of the erstwhile J&K state.
Sources told Early Times that over sixty lecturers of the School Education Department were posted in Ladakh in 2017, although now they have completed their minimum service period of two years but yet they have been waiting for their repatriation.

Jammu, Oct 3: Jammu region has 120 percent more incomplete developmental projects than the Kashmir division. What an Irony! Thanks to the dilatory mode of functioning and step-motherly treatment with Jammu, the projects continue to remain in limbo.
Official documents in possession of Early Times reveal that the incomplete projects that were ought to be executed by the R&B Department in Kashmir are just 33. However, as far as the Jammu division is concerned, the total number of incomplete projects stands at whooping 364.
