Helicopters, drones add to security cover for Amit Shah’s visit | | |

Jammu, Oct 3: Even as Union Home Minister, Amit Shah is scheduled to address mega rallies in Jammu and Kashmir during his three-day visit, the helicopters of the Indian Army and drones of multiple security agencies will provide aerial surveillance.
Sources said atleast half a dozen helicopters and over 100 hi-tech drones will be up in the air during the visit when he is scheduled to address mega gatherings in Rajauri and Baramulla districts of the Union Territory.

Jammu, Oct 3: As the anti-graft panels of Jammu and Kashmir are flooded with anonymous complaints, the Union Territory government on Monday issued some instructions to discourage this culture.

JAMMU, Oct 3: Security has been tightened for the three-day visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir that commenced on Monday evening, officials said.
Shah is scheduled to address two rallies – one in Rajouri district of the Jammu region on Tuesday and another in Baramulla in north Kashmir on Wednesday.
There have been two major terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir over the past week.

Jammu, Oct 3: The Northern Command's General Officer Commanding-in-chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Monday reviewed 10 ideas and innovations by officers, which will be exhibited at the Indian Army event later this month, a defence spokesperson said.
The board of officers had picked these 10 innovations of the total 54 ideas showcased during a two-day event held from September 30, and of these, 10 have been selected for the exhibition, he said.

New Delhi, Oct 3: The CBI has detained a Russian national at Indira Gandhi International Airport in connection with its probe into alleged manipulation of JEE (Mains) examination last year, officials said Monday.
The central agency had issued a ‘Look Out Circular’ against the foreign national, suspected to be main hacker, for alleged manipulation of the prestigious examination, they said. New Delhi, Oct 3: The Centre on Monday issued advisories to news websites, OTT platforms and private satellite channels asking them to refrain from carrying advertisements of offshore betting sites.
"The private satellite television channels are strongly advised to refrain advertisements of online offshore betting platforms and/or their surrogate news websites or any such product/service depicting these platforms in a surrogate manner," the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting advisory said.
