After domicile certificate now Rohingya man manages Aadhar, ration cards | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6: Two days after Kishtwar Police arrested a Rohingya woman for fraudulently obtaining a domicile certificate, Poonch Police on Friday booked a Rohingya man for managing Aadhar card and ration card in the border area Mendhar.
According to reports, a Rohingya resident identified as Mohammad Noman son of Mohibullah aged 35 years, resident of Myanmar, presently living in the house of Nazir Hussain son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Dhargloon Tehsil Balakote who married Nazir Husain daughter namely Naseem Akhtar entered into the criminal conspiracy along with employees of different departments and prepared illegal/ forged Adhaar card and Ration card.
In this case, FIR no 117/2023 u/s 420,465,468,471,109,120-B IPC registered at Police Station Gursai and an investigation is set into motion.
More arrests are expected in the above case and all those who were part of criminal conspiracy and forgery shall be taken to legal determination

Drug mafia again attacks cops in Samba | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6: Notwithstanding claims of the authorities to take effective action against the drug mafia, the notorious and influential drug lords of the Sarore area of Samba district once again attacked cops of J&K Police and sleuths of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Reports said that drug peddlers pelted stones at the joint party of J&K Police and NCB in the Sarore area of Bari Brahmana in Samba.
The drug smugglers pelted stones at the police for about an hour. Four personnel have been injured due to stone pelting.
Three months ago, a special branch team of police was attacked by drug smugglers in the same area. Then five police personnel were injured.

Charing a meeting to review the security situation in LWE-affected states, Shah also said year 2022 witnessed the lowest number of incidents of violence and deaths in Naxal-hit areas in last four decades.
Left Wing Extremism will be totally eliminated from the country in two years, he said. “Naxalism is a curse to humanity and we are resolved to uproot it in all its forms,” he said.
Officials said violent incidents in Naxal-affected states have come down by 77 per cent in 2022 in comparison to the high of 2010.

| | New rules for disability pension aimed at protecting interests of genuine personnel: CDS | | | New Delhi, Oct 6: The new rules for granting disability pension to armed forces personnel were brought out following wide-ranging discussions among the three services and they are aimed protecting interests of the “genuine” people and ensuring a fitter military, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan said on Friday.
The provisions of the revised entitlement rules will be applicable for the armed forces personnel who retired after September 21 and there will be no retrospective implementation of the norms, he said.
