NC unlikely to accommodate Cong after winning Kargil elections | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 8: Notwithstanding claims of the opposition parties, the ruling National Conference is in doubleminded after getting a majority on its own in the prestigious Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil elections after getting 13 seats of the 23 seats for which results have been declared so far.
Out of the total 26 seats, results of 23 seats have been announced so far, the ruling National Conference has crossed the halfway mark by getting 13 seats.
The Congress has won eight seats followed by two each by BJP and Independents.
As per official communication counting for the Shargole seat has yet not started.

Jammu, Oct 8: Notwithstanding “threatening” statements of opposition leaders, the Union Government is going to invite bids for the auction of the county’s first Lithium reserve found in the Reasi district.
The Geological Survey of India has for the first time established Lithium inferred resources (G3) of 5.9 million tonnes in the Salal-Haimana area of the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Highly placed sources said that the bids will be invited by the Central government soon.
The Centre is expected to invite bids for the newly discovered Lithium reserves in Jammu very soon, sources said.

| | ISRO fights over 100 cyber-attacks daily: S Somanath | | | Kochi, Kerala, Oct 8: S Somanath, the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Saturday said that the country’s space agency is facing more than 100 cyber-attacks daily.
S Somanath, while speaking on the concluding session of the 16th edition of the c0c0n, a two-day international cyber conference in Kerala’s Kochi, further said that the possibility of cyber-attacks is much higher in rocket technology which uses ultra-modern software and chip-based hardware.
“The organisation is equipped with a robust cybersecurity network to face such attacks,” he said.
