Yr on, CB, Revenue deptt sit on fake PRC cases in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 31: The Crime Branch (CB) and the Revenue department have turned a blind eye to fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) cases reported in Jammu district a year ago.
According to sources, a non-resident family presently residing in Prem Nagar Jammu, obtained PRCs by producing forged documents and after bribing some Revenue officials.
"The family, keeping Jammu Development Authority officials in the dark, also fraudulently regularized two plots", said sources.
In this regard, a written complaint was forwarded to the CB by one Mushtaq Ahmed in which was mentioned how the family in question managed to get PRCs. "The CB sought a detailed report from concerned police station. But later the matter was kept under the carpet", said sources.
They said that the matter was brought into the notice of Revenue officials. The Assistant Commission, Nazool, Jammu wrote a letter to the government seeking cancelation of the PRC, but after a lapse of one year things remain unchanged.

SRINAGAR, Oct 31: Even as Jammu and Kashmir Police's sub-inspector Imtiyaz Ahmed Mir was shot dead by militants at Wahibug in the militancy-infested Pulwama district of South Kashmir on October 28, the JKP doesn't rule out hand of some "internal link."
Sources said the police are investigating if it could be "some internal link" that informed militants about his travel to home on the fateful day. Imtiyaz was killed before he would reach home.

Srinagar, Oct 31: Despite Model Code of Conduct being in place, the department of Indian System of Medicines (ISM) has made illegal transfers in violation of the rules.
The MCC is in place for the Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir. However, the ISM has made several transfers before and after the MCC in violation of the rules.
On October 23, the ISM issued an order as per which Dr Syed Abdul Shakoor Bukhari, Medical Officer ISM Dispensary Nawpora, Srinagar, is directed to work at Ayush Unit SMHS Hospital Srinagar as I/C unit.
Similarly, Dr Shazia Mukhtar, ISM Unani, was transferred to Ayush Unit Royal Spring Golf Course.
