Azad, Abdullahs play hide-and-seek in Doda region | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 9: Even as the Election Commission of India is yet to announce dates for the much-expected Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, two of the former Chief Ministers who are also heads of their respective political parties have been playing hide-and-seek in the Doda region.
While the founding President of Democratic Azad Party, Ghulam Nabi Azad is again on a visit of his native Doda region to hold rallies in the area, prior to him Dr Farooq Abdullah and his team visited the same area for public outreach.
Interestingly, before the weeklong visit of the Abdullahs, it was Azad again who was in the region.
Before floating his own party, Azad had been camping in the region for around a fortnight. Now again he is back to the same area.
Sources said the National Conference is apprehensive of Azad taking advantage in the region and thus its senior leaders including two Member Parliaments, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Justice Retired Hasnain Masoodi apart from NC chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq were on the visit of the area.

Jammu, Nov 9: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has set aside the order of a NIA court discharging an accused policeman and has directed the trail court to frame charges against him.
Division Bench comprising Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Rajesh Sekri set-aside the order of NIA Court whereby it had discharged one Jaffer Hussain. The DB directed trial court to frame charge against him and proceed with the trial in accordance with law.

Jammu, Nov 9: In a big success, Jammu Police on Wednesday foiled another attempt of terrorists to smuggle arms into Kashmir Valley by busting a terror module involved in transporting weapons in oil tankers.
It was during routine checking that three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested by the police of the Trikuta Nagar Police Station in Jammu city in this connection.
Three AK-56 rifles, one pistol, nine magazines in number, 191 rounds of ammunition, and six grenades were also recovered from the possession of arrested persons.

In a statement , a spokesperson said that CBI has arrested two then directors of a private company based at Kathua in the ongoing investigation of a bank fraud case. Jammu, Nov 9: At least three persons were killed and 16 injured when two buses collided each other on Wednesday in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that one bus hit another near Nanke Chak this evening resulting into death of three passengers.
One of the bus was ferrying tourists, police added. “Two dead were from Punjab and the third was identified from Samba district,” they said.
