Bihar assembly polls: Mehbooba, Omar not on same page to congratulate NDA | | |

Jammu, Nov 11: Despite presenting ‘united face’ to take on BJP on the issue of restoring Article 370 and 35-A, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and her arch rival-Omar Abdullah, are not on the same page as far the outcome of Bihar assembly elections is concerned.
After exit polls, Mehbooba Mufti was hoping that Tajeshwi Yadav would dislodge BJP so she was repeatedly using social media to taunt BJP. She was hoping that Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) led Tajeshwi Yadav would snatch power from NDA in Bihar and BJP would be badly demoralized but all her hopes were shattered on Tuesday evening when NDA retained power in Bihar-although with wafer-thin majority.

Jammu, Nov 11: After Dr Farooq Abdullah, it is now Mehbooba Mufti’s turn to correct her past mistakes. She has promised to hold the tricolour and protect country’s constitution.
Last month, after being released from 14- month detention, Mehbooba had said that she wouldn’t be holding the tricolour till Jammu and Kashmir’s special status is restored. Prior to that when Article 370 was intact, she warned that no one in Kashmir would hold the tricolour if special status is even touched. However, she justified her recent statement, lamenting that she has made the remarks due to the abrogation of Article 370.

Rajouri, Nov 11: Total mismanagement was witnessed in Account Assistant exams conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board in Rajouri district on Tuesday, candidates have alleged.
Aspirants told Early Times that “Sitting arrangement was in mess and COVID-19 SOPs were compromised, wrong center names were allotted to aspirants due to which many missed their exams. Huge traffic jam was witnessed in Rajouri town due to which many candidates remained stuck and couldn’t reach the examination centers.”

Srinagar, Nov 11: The Wildlife Department today said that the probe against illegal mining and cement factories which are functioning in Khrew area of Pampore without seeking required No Objection Certificate (NOC’s) from the department was underway.
