Jammu, Nov 16: Virtually humiliated and betrayed by the nationalist BJP, many more Buddhist leaders from Ladakh would follow footsteps of the tallest Ladakhi leader Thupstan Chhewang who quit the saffron party on Wednesday.
Although BJP leadership is giving different excuses to save their skin, credible sources said that Chhewnag had resigned from the primary membership of the BJP due to humiliation being meted out to people of Ladakh by the BJP leadership to appease some Kashmir-based leaders.
During 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had promised to grant Union Territory (UT) status to Ladakh. But due to pressure from some Kashmir-based leaders, the BJP rejected that long pending demand of the Ladakhi people.
Also, these days BJP is giving importance only to some Kashmiri leaders and top party leaders have no time to visit Ladakh. Even a key BJP leader who frequently visits Kashmir Valley to appease some Kashmir-based leaders, never got time to visit Ladakh.

mendhar, Nov 16: The authorities in Poonch district on Friday exhumed a body for DNA testing, in a case of mistaken identity, as the dead man had been presumed by a family as their missing son and was laid to rest in March this year.
The exhumation was ordered by Rahul Yadav, District Magistrate (DM) Poonch, on the request of the Railway police, in Kasab village of Mendhar tehsil to conduct a DNA test.
Last year, one Mohammad Muzamil, son of Nazam Din, of Kasba village went missing. A report was lodged by his family with the police on March 9.
