NC can say ‘goodbye’ to Congress in J&K? | Article 370 Row | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 16: The Congress distancing itself from the special status resolution passed by the Omar Abdullah led government could lead to the National Conference saying “goodbye” to its ally in Jammu and Kashmir.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “NC Member Parliament Aga Ruhullah has already warned the Congress against questioning his party’s stand on the special status resolution.”
“No INC president or JKPCC president has a right to misinterpret the resolution passed by the J&K Legislative Assembly in the last session. The purpose of that resolution is to express the people’s disapproval of all the amendments and unconstitutional abrogation of the guaranteed (Special) Status of J&K from the year 1953 to 2019,” the NC MP wrote on X.
“If the Congress Party keeps on insisting that Article 370 is a settled issue, then the NC may be left with no other option other than to say goodbye to its coalition partner,” the analyst claimed.
