Jammu, Nov 17: After observing a “ceasefire” for quite some months, the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad fired a fresh salvo at his disciple-turned-foe Vikar Rasool Wani by calling him as a corrupt politician who earned money through corrupt practices during his tenure as minister.
Once a hardcore supporter of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Vikar Rasool Wani is president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC).
“I picked up a boy from this area, who was petty shopkeeper and made him minister in the government but instead of serving the people he indulged in minting money and amassing wealth through corrupt practices”, Azad said while addressing a rally at Neel in the Banihal area of Ramban district.
Although Azad avoided mentioning the name of Vikar Rasool Wani, he was targeting the JKPCC chief because Banihal is the hometown of Wani.

Srinagar, Nov 17: Srinagar Court has directed Parimpora Police station to register a First Information Report (FIR) against J&K Bank employee for leaking salary account details of a consumer to a stranger.
The Court of Forest Magistrate, Srinagar, presided over by Feroz Ahmad Khan issued the directions to Police Station Parimpora after Advocate Aamir Masoodi representing the complainant vehemently argued that the bank associate has committed “criminal breach of trust” by disclosing account details of consumer to the third person.

Jammu, Nov 17: Cracking down on terrorist groups promoting violence and militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday attached the properties of a key terror operative undergoing trial in a UA(P)A case involving seizure of arms, ammunition, explosives and narcotics. The accused, Mohammad Yaseen, a resident of district Poonch in Jammu, is an operative of the banned terrorist organisation, Tehreek Ul Mujahideen (TuM).
