Jammu, Nov 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress is set for a major overhaul after its worst-ever defeat in the recent assembly elections, where the party secured only six seats, its lowest-ever performance in the state's history. This drastic measure is aimed at rejuvenating the party by replacing outdated leaders with young and dynamic ones, bringing in fresh perspectives and energy.
The party's poor performance has prompted its leaders to rethink their strategy and focus on rebuilding from the ground up. By giving young leaders a chance, the Congress hopes to revitalize its base and reconnect with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said that the party has decided to bring in fresh faces and ideas to revamp the party's image and appeal to a newer generation.

Jammu, Nov 17: Even though the scheduled elections of the four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir has yet to be announced, at least a dozen BJP leaders are staking their claims on the berth in the Upper House.
As per the number of MLAs in the Legislative Assembly, the BJP is in a position to win only one seat of the Rajya Sabha comfortably while on another seat the party has to manage some votes.
