Abdullah kin sign bond for release from jail | 'Pledge not to disrupt peace' | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: The close family members of former Chief Minister and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah, who were recently detained for holding protests in Srinagar were released from jail only after they gave a written undertaking to the government that they "would not disrupt peace(in Kashmir any further)."
Sources said the women duo from Abdullah family signed the bond wherein they took pledge that they would not resort to protests any further nor would they "resort to any such activity that spoils" the atmosphere in Kashmir.
A senior official told Early Times that on being detained, the two women from the Abdullah family had argued with the concerned authorities that as to why they had been shifted to the Central Jail Srinagar after having been caught protesting by the Kothi Bagh Police Station in the commercial hub of Srinagar.
Sources said the officials had told them they could be released the moment they would give an undertaking for not resorting to any such activity in future.

New Delhi, Nov 1: The proposed Delimitation Commission to redraw assembly constituencies in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be set up by the central government, and not the Election Commission, the poll panel said on Friday.
Responding to a question at a press conference here, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, the Delimitation Commission is to set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
He was addressing the press conference to announce the assembly election schedule in Jharkhand.

He was one among the six-labourers from Murshidabad West Bengal who were attacked by militants on Tuesday evening at Katrasoo village of district Kulgam in south Kashmir.
