Jammu, Nov 19: Police have registered a FIR against five accused on the charges of rape, abduction, abetment and criminal intimidation.
According to the details available with Early Times a girl (name withheld) approached Police Post Phallain Mandal and filed a written complaint alleging that four persons abducted her from Sehora Mandal and raped her.
She identified accused as Amit Bhagat S/0 Balbir Chand, Vijay Kumar S/0 Kulwant Raj both residents of Sehora Mandal, Deepak Kumar S/0 Vijay Kumar R/0 Santra Morh Gho, Kalu Ram S/0 Gandharbu and his wife both residents of Sehora Mandal Jammu, officials said.

SAMBA/JAMMU, Nov 19: An Indo-Tibetan Border Police jawan who lost his life in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh was cremated with full honours in his village near the International Border in Samba district on Sunday.
The body of Head Constable Joginder Kumar, 45, reached his village, Abtal Katalan, in Ramgarh sector late Saturday night.
Kumar died in an Improvised Explosive Device explosion near Bade Gobra Village while escorting a polling party after the conclusion of the second phase of the Chhattisgarh assembly elections on Friday.

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Nov 19: Whatever is required to save the 41 trapped workers will be done and keeping the morale of workers and their family members high should be everyone’s collective responsibility, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Sunday as he reviewed the rescue operation at the partially collapsed Silkyara tunnel.
The minister for road transport and highways, who was accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, said the rescue operation is challenging as the soil strata in the Himalayan region is not uniform.
