Nov 20: The alleged irrational behavior of Baldev Parkash, incumbent Managing Director, of J&K Bank has led to nearly 1000 officers of the bank applying for premature retirement from the active services of the bank. For a small bank like JK Bank it will be a major crisis.
Appointment of Baldev Parkash from SBI as Managing Director of J&K Bank was welcomed by both staff of JK Bank and the business community of UT of J&K, but all the dreams of the staff and the business community has gone to drains.

New Delhi, Nov 20: President Droupadi Murmu underwent cataract surgery in her right eye at the Army Hospital (Referral and Research) in New Delhi on Sunday, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a communique.
The surgery was successful and she has been discharged from the hospital, it said. President Murmu, 64, had undergone cataract surgery in her left eye at the Army Hospital on October 16.
“The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu underwent cataract surgery of her right eye today morning (November 20, 2022) at the Army Hospital (Referral & Research), New Delhi. Surgery was successful and she has been discharged from the hospital,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Security forces seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a house in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday. The arms cache was recovered from the house of one Rafaqat Hussain Shah, a resident of Panjtaran in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara, in a cordon-and-search operation last night, a police spokesperson said. During search, one pistol, two pistol magazines, 16 pistol rounds, two hand grenades, two detonators, and other incriminating materials were recovered from the said house, the spokesperson said.
