Srinagar, Nov 20: The Vice-Chancellor of University of Kashmir has sacked Director and contractual faculty of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Kaushal Kendra after two of its B.Voc courses overran deadlines by a huge margin. According to the details Director of DDU Kaushal Kendra along with three contractual staff members were relieved “with immediate effect” owing to closure of the project, which was launched by KU in 2019.

Jammu, Nov 20: Taking serious note of his threatening video, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday registered a case against designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).
The case was registered over his latest viral video threatening the passengers flying and Air India Airlines with a global blockade and closure of the operations of the airline from 19th November.

New Delhi, Nov 20: Noting the “mismatch” between the number of children legally available for adoption and registered prospective adoptive parents, the Supreme Court on Monday directed all states and the Union territories to carry out a drive every two months to identify the children in abandoned and surrendered (OAS) category in child care institutions. A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justice J B Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra said the first of such an exercise should be carried out by December 7.

Jammu, Nov 20: Four people, including two minor girls, were killed in two separate accidents in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua, police said on Monday.
Surjeet Kumar (40) and his daughter Sonali (11) of Shab-e-Check village of Rajbagh were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a truck at Lakhanpur on the Jammu-Pathankot national highway around 12.45 pm, a police official said.
