According to sources, Raina spent three nights campaigning for the BJP-backed candidates, but the party suffered setback, as most of the candidates lost elections. Mohinder Paul Sudan, a BJP candidate from Lamberi East and a close aide of Ravinder Raina, lost election by 53 votes to his opponent and Congress-backed Kishori Dutt Sharma", sources said. Sudan, who is considered next to MLA Raina in Nowshera constituency, and has made several important decisions on his behalf, could not convince the voters.
