More senior PDP leaders to quit party
Early times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: Despite visit of party president, Mehbooba Mufti to placate the annoyed lot, many senior PDP leaders from Jammu are going to quit the party in coming days.
Feeling ‘suffocated and humiliated’ by communal elements who have virtually hijacked the party, these senior leaders have decided to resign from the PDP to save their dignity.
“It is not possible to work in the present scenario because party leadership is listening only to communal elements who avail every opportunity to humiliate those who worked with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, wishing anonymity, a senior PDP told The Early Times. “Many senior leaders are going to quit the party”, he said and added that instead of pursuing the visionary and secular agenda of Mufti Sayeed the incumbent leadership is following communal agenda just to address one constituency.
Pertinent to mention here that three senior leaders of the PDP had resigned citing Mehbooba Mufti’s “actions and undesirable utterances”, reports said on Monday. The PDP leaders TS Bajwa, Ved Mahajan and Hussain Ali Waffa, had re...

Early times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: Even as BJP has pressed all its resources to win District Development Council (DDC) elections, its arch rival Congress appears to be fighting these polls casually-thanks to the attitude of party high-command.
Unlike BJP high command which already has given assignments to Union ministers for these elections, Congress central leadership has no time to devise strategy for DDC polls.
On the condition of anonymity, a senior Congress leader told The Early Times that it appears that the high command has mortgaged the party to the Gupkar Alliance because not even a single leader from Centre has so far inquired about preparations of the J&K unit for DDC pol...
