NC facing revolt as youth leader resigns against dynastic politics | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 23: National Conference leadership is facing revolt after the appointment of constituency in-charges for the next assembly elections in J&K.
After former MLA from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar broke his silence and revealed brewing anger among dedicated workers, Sameer Iqbal Bhat, zone president of the Youth National Conference (North), resigned from the post as well as from the basic membership of the party.
On November 2, the National Conference has appointed constituency in-charges for the next assembly elections.
In a hard-hitting letter written to party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Bhat said that NC has failed to come up to the expectations of the masses.
“With a very heavy heart, I am bidding farewell to the party I joined back in 2017 with high hopes that the JKNC represents the aspirations of the people and this is the party that has always defended the rights and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, Bhat stated.

Jammu, Nov 23: In a development that has yet again exposed the sinister designs of Pakistan towards Jammu and Kashmir, the enemy country is developing its airbase just 130 kilometers from Jammu city.
Highly placed sources told the Early Times that the Indian Defence Research Wing has accessed crucial details of the Pakistan’s anti-India designs through airbase.
Details accessed by the Early Times said: “Pakistan Air force (PAF) is developing a new forward airbase in a town called Muridke, about 100 km from the line of Control (LOC) and only 120 km from Jammu. The airfield is located 15 kilometers northeast of Muridke, which is close to Lahore.”

Jammu, Nov 23: An 11-year-old girl was killed and her two siblings injured after they allegedly jumped from a railway bridge here today when they saw a train approaching, an official said. While Hadia Fatima died in the accident, her brother Mohiuddin (12) and sister Alia (six) sustained injuries, he said.
The three siblings were on their way to school in the Bajalta area when the incident occurred, he said, adding it is possible that the children panicked and jumped off the bridge after noticing a train approaching.
