Dangri attack mastermind among 2 LeT terrorists killed | | |

JAMMU, Nov 23: Two terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander trained in Afghanistan, were killed in a gunfight with security forces on Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said.
On Wednesday, four army personnel, including two captains, were killed and two others injured in the operation against the terrorists in the Dharmsal belt’s Bajimaal area. The officials said firing was halted in the night and the area was put under cordon. Firing resumed on Thursday morning, and two terrorist were killed, they said and added that the operation is in its final phase.

Jammu, Nov 23: Two Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist aides, Mumtaz Ahmed Lone and Jehangir Ahmed Lone both residents of Trehgam Kupwara, who were arrested in Bemina area of Srinagar earlier this week were affiliated with Bharatiya Janata Party.

JAMMU, Nov 23: Security forces on Thursday recovered arms, ammunition and explosives, including nine grenades and an IED, dropped by a drone along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector, police said. It was all packed in a box found during a joint search operation by the police and the Army in Palanwallah near the LoC early morning, officials said. The box raised suspicion and the bomb disposal squad was called. An improvised explosive device (IED), a pistol, two magazines, 38 rounds of ammunition and nine grenades were found, the officials said.

Jammu, Nov 23: Nine days have passed after the announcement of a three-member panel to conduct an inquiry into the tragic road accident in the Assar area of the Doda district but the report of the committee is yet to be made public.
November 22 was the deadline for the inquiry panel to submit its report regarding the reasons for the tragic accident.

JAMMU, Nov 23: Vehicular traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway will remain suspended for two days on November 24 and 25 due to maintenance work, police said on Thursday.
“Movement of traffic between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel shall remain suspended on Friday and Saturday. No vehicle will be allowed to proceed beyond Qazigund (Kashmir) after 9 pm on Thursday towards Jammu, and from Udhampur (Jammu) towards the Kashmir Valley,” it said in an advisory.
