100 more Jamaat properties likely to be sealed | | |

Jammu, Nov 27: Amid a crackdown by the State Investigation Agency (SIA) against the Jamaat-e-Islami, the radical Islamist group with a history of terror funding, the Union Home Ministry is looking ahead to notify around 100 more immovable properties of the JeI for sealing.
Whereas after freezing its bank accounts, the SIA has started the seizure of the Jamaat properties, it was learnt that the recent sealing operations were only the “trailer”.
Sources said the SIA has already discovered around 100 more immovable properties of JeI across Jammu and Kashmir and that the matter has been brought to the notice of the Union Home Ministry. A senior official said the properties would be sealed once the process of notification for the same is completed.
“Once the notification process is completed all such properties will be sealed in a phased manner,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.

Jammu, Nov 27: The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Faisal Munir, who was arrested from the Talab Khatikan area of Jammu city, was in contact with Pakistan’s High Commission to monitor terror activities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Quoting sources in the National Investigation Agency (NIA), some reports said that Faisal was working as the biggest facilitator for Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir and was providing all logistic supporters, including financial help, to the terror groups operating in J&K.

Jammu, Nov 27: Four people were killed and two injured in separate road accidents here, police said on Sunday.
In the first incident, Jatin Manhas (18) and Mahruda Pratap Singh (15) died after two speeding motorcycles collided head-on with each other at Dablehar-Chak Mohd Yaar road in R S Pura area on the outskirts of the city on Saturday, the police said.
Two others -- Sagar Singh (13) and Chanpreet Singh (18) -- were injured in the collision. While Manhas was riding solo, the other three were returning from tuition classes, they said.

Srinagar, Nov 27: The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have asked former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti to check out her government quarter in her home district of Anantnag by serving a notice, officials said on Sunday.
Seven other ex-legislators have also served the notice to vacate the government quarters being occupied in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, the officials said.
Earlier on October 15, The Estates Department of Kashmir had sent the notice to the PDP Chief to vacate her official Fair View residence at Gupkar road in Srinagar.

Kheda (Gujarat), Nov 27: In a scathing attack on the Congress ahead of the Gujarat Assembly election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said terrorism was at its peak during the Congress rule and the party targeted him instead of terrorists because of vote bank politics.
Addressing a public meeting in Kheda, Prime Minister Modi said, "Gujarat had long been a target of terrorism. The people of Gujarat were killed in explosions in Surat and Ahmedabad.
