JAMMU, Nov 3: Merger of Engineering wing of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) department Jammu in Public Works (R&B) department cast heavily on civil contractors as the payment for works done by them has not been paid.
With the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the hapless contractors are facing more hardships to get streamlined their ailing business and with old payments still pending their problems have aggravated further.

NEW DELHI, Nov 3: The Delhi High Court Tuesday dismissed former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah's plea challenging its circular of April mandating that both parties in a case have to agree for the final hearing to be taken up early via video conferencing mode.
Omar had contended that his matrimonial appeal against a 2016 trial court order, which dismissed his divorce petition, has been listed for final hearing since February 2017.
