Jammu, Nov 8: The influential touts involved in the infamous Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam have collected crores and crores by cheating candidates.
Question papers for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir were sold at the rate of Rs 30 lakh for each candidate by a Haryana-based tout who was in touch with one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of J&K Police.
This gang was not only involved in committing fraud in the exams of Sub-Inspectors but question papers of Junior Engineer (Civil) were also sold to some influential candidates who were ready to pay the amount.
Notable recruitment of Sub-Inspector has already been cancelled following the detection of fraud and manipulation in the written exams.

Jammu, Nov 8: The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday conducted searches at Jammu, Punjab and Haryana in an alleged case related to JKPSI Recruitment Scam.
As per CBI spokesman, searches were conducted at seven locations including at Jammu, Pathankot, Rewari and Karnal, (both in Haryana) in an ongoing investigation of a case related to JKPSI Recruitment Scam at the premises of accused and others including at Jammu, Pathankot, Rewari, Karnal among others.

New Delhi, Nov 8: Education is not a business to earn profit and tuition fees shall always be affordable, the Supreme Court has said while upholding the Andhra Pradesh High Court order quashing the state government's decision to enhance the tuition fee in medical colleges to Rs 24 lakh per annum.

JAMMU, Nov 8: A revenue official was suspended and an inquiry was ordered after a video, purportedly showing him taking bribe, went viral on social media in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, an official said on Tuesday.
