Pak drones emerge as a new challenge for border security | | |

Jammu, Nov 30: The intrusion of drones originating from Pakistan emerged as a big challenge for the force guarding the border in the Jammu region.
As many as 27 Pakistani drones have been detected along the 192-km long India-Pakistan border in the Jammu region this year so far even as attempts to fuel the insurgency, including through smuggling of arms and ammunition via unmanned aerial vehicles, have been thwarted.
“As far as drones are concerned, as the issue escalated, the methods to tackle it also increased. We have a lot of resources and we have learned a lot. As a result, drone activity in the Jammu region has gone down to a great extent”, Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu frontier D K Boora said.
IG BSF was interacting with media persons in connection with the 58th Raising Day of the force.
He said Pakistan has been attempting to vitiate the atmosphere in the region using drones. He added the Pakistani drones continued to pose a problem.

Jammu, Nov 30: Claiming that seven infiltration attempts have been foiled so far this year, Inspector General Border Security Force, Jammu Frontier, D K Boora on Wednesday said that the international border is incident free and completely safe and secure.
He was speaking to the media on the eve of BSF Raising Day here at Paloura based Jammu Frontier Headquarters.

Jammu, Nov 30: Security forces on Wednesday busted a terrorist hideout in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Defence spokesman said that based on intelligence inputs about the presence of a cache of warlike stores, an operation was launched by Indian Army and Police in the upper reaches of Village Nabana in Surankote are of District Poonch.
