Cong high command seeks explanation from Karra | Removal of District Presidents | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: The Congress high command has reportedly sought an explanation from the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Tariq Hamid Karra, for removing ten district presidents in Kashmir and dissolving the party units.
A source told Early Times that the party high command has taken a serious note of Karra’s unilateral decision.
“There is a process to change the district presidents, it has to be done by consulting the ground cadre and then after there is the acceptance of a particular leader as the district president, then the names have to be sent to the high command and then wait for the approval."

GST officers have detected cases of ITC evasion of Rs 35,132 crore by 17,818 fake firms between April-October and arrested 69 persons, Parliament was informed on Monday.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said regular action is taken to detect fake firms through data analytics and other intelligence by the central and state authorities.
Also, a coordinated special drive was launched between August 16 and October 30 to detect fake firms.

JAMMU, Dec 9: An army soldier was martyred in a mine blast near LoC in Mandi area of Poonch district of J&K on Monday.
Officials said that during patrolling along LoC, an army soldier accidently stepped on mine triggering a blast.
In this incident one army soldier (Havildar) identified as Subaish (39) was critically injured. He was immediately evacuated to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
