Saahil Suhail Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 12: Former J&K chief minister and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah on Sunday said that the government is using newspapers in the union territory as instruments of propaganda. Addressing a gathering here, Omar said, “Prior to August 5, 2019, the local newspapers in J&K used to report the truth fearlessly. Headlines of the papers used to shake the rulers. Today you won’t find anything except government press notes in these newspapers. Agencies New Delhi, Dec 12: “Apni senaon par hei humein garv, aao milkar manaye Vijay Parv (We are proud of our armies, let’s celebrate victory together)” was the last public message by Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, a day before his death in a helicopter crash. The Indian Army on Sunday released a 1.09-minute video clip in which Gen Rawat greeted the armed forces personnel on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1971 War and paid tributes to the fallen heroes. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 12: The Government today informed that 126 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 15 from Jammu division and 111 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 338871.Also, 04 COVID deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division.
