Officers to face action for releasing salaries of employees without registering on JKHRM portal | | |

JAMMU, Dec 15: Taking serious note of the reports that the salaries of a large number of employees, who have not registered themselves with the Jammu and Kashmir Human Resource Management System (JKHRM), the government on Thursday sought explanation within a week’s time from Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).
“Why a sizable number of employees was paid salary for October despite them not registering themselves with the JKHRM?’, the government asked in a circular.
“In order to streamline the Human Resource Management System across various Departments of Jammu and Kashmir, the General Administration Department vide Circular No 35JK (GAD) of 2022 dated 12 October 2022 and Circular No 40-JK (GAD) of2022 dated 28.10.2022 advised all the employees to register themselves on JKHRM portal and to forward the service details to the concerned DDOs for verification/updation,” read a circular.

Jammu, Dec 15: Security agencies have busted a Pakistan ISI-run narcotics trafficking racket with the arrest of a school-going girl living along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said Thursday.
The juvenile, a student of class ten, lives in a village ahead of the LoC fence in the Mendhar sector of the Poonch district and has been apprehended with 400 grams of "suspected heroin" in a joint operation conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday.

New Delhi, Dec 15: Government has spent a total of Rs 3,723.38 crore on advertisement of its policies and programmes over the past five years through the Central Bureau of Communication, Rajya Sabha was informed today.
In a written reply, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said the expenditure on advertisements and publicity has not increased over the past five years. According to the data shared by the government, Rs 1,220.89 crore was spent on advertisements in 2017-18 while an expenditure of Rs 1,106.88 crore was incurred in 2018-19, which was ahead of the general elections of 2019.
