Jammu, Dec 17: Attempt of the Education Department to lure students towards the government schools in Jammu and Kashmir can end up in a fiasco due to lack of facilities in these institutions.
The department is claiming that many people are shifting their children from private institutions to the government schools.
The Education Department is claiming that it expects over one lakh new admissions in the government schools in Jammu and Kashmir. However, what could possibly prick the balloon in the entire chain of claims is the fact that the department has taken meagre measures to ensure that basic facilities are made available in the government run schools.

Jammu, Dec 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on Wednesday issued notification for recruitment of 1700 posts in the Union Territory (UT) of J&K.
It is first-time in the history of J&K that recruitment will be conducted with Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs)-known as ‘State Subject’. Instead of PRCs, candidates who have domicile certificates are eligible for applying for these posts.

Srinagar, Dec 17: A mysterious blast at the SK University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir here has triggered panic among the employees with many of them demanding high level inquiry into the matter.
On December 8, at least three employees of the SKUAST were wounded in an explosion in one of the main offices at the varsity.
While the SKUAST authorities had initially claimed it to have happened due to short-circuit in the photo-stat machine installed there, many of the employees said the actual cause of explosion was substandard heating system at the office and that a “shady deal could not be ruled out.”
