JAMMU, Dec 19: As the winter chill is intensifying in Kashmir, Hurriyat Hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani is making desperate attempts to reappear on the scene.
According to the media reports, Geelani recently issued a statement asking people to give up their daily chores and stage protest. "It seems bosses of Geelani sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) have passed on instructions to him to do something so that the normalcy which has returned to Kashmir is disrupted," said an analyst.
He said, "Another reason for Geelani becoming active could be he is not used to staying in Kashmir during winter months. By issuing such provocative statement he wants to build pressure on administration so that he could move to Delhi to save himself from the winter chill."
Another analyst said that security agencies should take a note of Geelani becoming active suddenly. NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Political leaders, lodged at Srinagar's MLA hostel after the abrogation of Article 370, were allowed to have television sets in some rooms along with set-top boxes. They can also meet their families 2-3 times a week, government sources said.

NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Politicians who are in detention since Jammu and Kashmir's special status was scrapped by the central government in August would be released if they agree to sign a bond that they would not engage in any political activity which would lead to any law and order situation, officials in the Home Ministry have said.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that some of them have already signed the required bonds and they have been released.
