Kashmir-centric leaders fail to manage J&K | Allowed separatists, terrorists to call shots for three decades | |

JAMMU, Dec 25: The Government of India (GoI) reorganizing J&K seems to have brought situation under control in Kashmir where separatists, terrorists and stone pelters have had a free run during the past 30 years.
A top official of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) recently said that no pellets were fired in September and October this year as there were no protests at all.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Kashmir-centric politicians who ruled in Jammu & Kashmir during the past 70 years need to sit back and think what has changed in the Valley just within the four months. Why there has been no violence and streets were at protests?"
He said, "Past four months have proved it beyond doubt that Kashmir-centric leaders mismanaged Kashmir and promoted the agenda of separatists and Pakistan. Their incompetence allowed the hate mongers to spread hate and instigate the people."

SRINAGAR, Dec 25:The recent change of guard at Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has led to topsy-turvy situation as seniority has gone for a six with the juniors ruling the roost at the cost of denial of promotion to the senior officers of the department.

SRINAGAR, Dec 25:The process for scrutinizing of consolidated and daily wagers has hit a major roadblock after departments submitted inaccurate details to the government.
In June this year, the government asked departments to provide the list of consolidated workers and daily wagers.
"In order to have firm figures of consolidated workers who are working on monthly remuneration less than the minimum daily wage rates across the departments, information to be provided about name and particulars of consolidated workers," an order reads.

SRINAGAR, Dec 25:The Government Degree College Bandipora officials and some senior officials in the Higher Education Department have come under scanner for alleged financial embezzlement worth lakhs of rupees.
Highly placed sources told Early Times that the Director Colleges, Muhammad Yaseen Shah had received complaints about financial embezzlements at the Bandipora college but that no action was taken as yet against the accused.

LUCKNOW, Dec 25:Prime minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday justified the abrogation of Article 370, that granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir, terming it a ''chronic disease'' and hinted that his government would continue to move ahead on its nationalist agenda.
Speaking at a function here, Modi, quoting former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that the evaluation of the performance of a government could be done on two parameters, that included resolution of inherited problems and the base provided to the future generations.
