Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 29: Operating under the guise of a journalist, the son of a former National Conference minister who ran a news agency here, had passed on vital information about Indian army, BSF, police, Dul Hasti hydel project, Jammu city, border roads, railway tracks and important bridges to his Pakistani handlers in lieu of money. His offence, which by all means is very serious and bigger in size as per his IR (interrogation report), is unpardonable, as he had tried to inflict huge damages on India. IR, otherwise a secret document, is prepared by police on the basis of accused's joint interrogation by different agencies. Farooq Ahmad Ganai, son of Mohammad Akbar Ganai, landed in the dragnet of Nawabad police on October 24, 2009 for allegedly being an agent of Pak's Field Intelligence Unit (FIU). His father was Minister of State for Law and Health in the erstwhile NC government.
