SRINAGAR, Dec 4: With the abrogation of the special status, the people of Kashmir have finally started to dare Pakistan with huge hoardings bashing the enemy country -frequently gracing the main roads in the summer capital of Srinagar.
In the last two months, it has been at least twice that Pakistan had to face humiliation on the streets of Srinagar, with the people having given a vent to their feelings through hoardings.
Official sources said the people of Kashmir install such hoardings in the night hours and that Kashmir wakes up to read content of such billboards.
The hoardings made on vinyl plastic sheets are pasted at the designated busy spots of Srinagar.
The first such development in the last seventy years had taken place on October 22 when the Srinagar city was decorated with anti-Pakistan hoardings condemning the tribal raid of 1947.
On the fateful day scores of youth had also taken to streets to hold protests demonstrations against Pakistan.

KUPWARA, Dec 4: The highest voter turnover for third phase of DDC elections in North Kashmir was recorded in Bandipora district. Though there was severe cold, but people came out in large number to cast their votes at different polling booths.
According to the details about the DDCs, the polling percentage recorded in Bandipora district at 56.73%, Kupwara was 46.25% and Baramulla 30.94%. Huge gatherings of people were seen for their turn at different polling booths across North Kashmir.
