Agencies New Delhi, Dec 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that India’s presidency of the G-20 is a matter of pride for all citizens and it is an occasion to establish globally Indianness and its culture. Addressing a key meeting of BJP leaders from across the country, Modi also asked party members to maintain direct connect with border villagers and said they should be developed as places that draw visitors. Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh briefed reporters on the meeting and Modi’s closed-door address. The prime minister inaugurated the BJP’s national office-bearers meeting and said there is an acknowledgement worldwide of the country’s emergence as an economic power amid global challenges like the Ukraine war and the Covid pandemic. He also lauded the “Kashi Tamil Sangamam”, a month-long event going on in Varanasi that celebrates ancient cultural ties between the two places. Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5: Central Administrative Tribunal Srinagar Bench quashed the suspension of a Junior Engineer Munshi Masood. While allowing the petition, CAT held that the applicant will be entitled to all the consequential dues as per rules. However, the respondents are at liberty to issue a charge sheet and take further disciplinary action as they deem fit. Justice Sanjay Dhar dismissed the petition filed by Abida Afazal Notification/order No.SEC/ PYT/2022/24 dated 16.11.2022 as also order No.22/SEC/DDC/ 2022 dated 1611.2022, issued by respondent No.2, whereby re-poll of DDC constituency Hajin-A was scheduled for 5th December, 2022. Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 5: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded the coldest night of the season at minus 3.4 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature continues to settle below freezing point in the Valley as majority of stations recorded sub-zero temperature. Official said that the minimum temperature at world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg was recorded at minus 3.2 Degree Celsius last night while Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded a temperature of minus 2.7 Degree Celsius. 17 injured as bus turns turtle in Rajouri

Early Times Report Rajouri, Dec 5: At least 17 persons, who were part of a marriage ceremony, were injured in a road accident in Rajouri district on Monday morning. An official said that the accident took place when a bus, carrying “Baraatis” turned turtle near Tarkundi LoC road. He said at least 17 persons were injured in the accident and they were immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital.
