jammu, Dec 6: Although West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) have first time exercised their right to franchise in the local bodies elections, the J&K unit of BJP failed to take credit of this historic opportunity.
These refugees have already expressed their gratitude towards central leadership of BJP especially Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for liberating them from 73-year old slavery they are annoyed with the local leadership of BJP for not fielding even a single West Pakistani Refugee as candidate for vacant Panchayat seats or for District Development Councils (DDCs) constituency.
Sources said that leaders of WPRs had approached the local BJP leadership and asked them to give party mandate to at-least one refugee for DDCs elections but the 'arrogant' local leaders refused to accept this proposal. WPRs leaders had told BJP that nominating refugees as a party candidate for local body elections would send a very positive signal among refugees living in different areas of Jammu province.

jammu, Dec 6: Taking advantage of the 'inactiveness' of the leader of opposition (LoP) in the Rajya Sabha during the on-going District Development Councils (DDCs) elections, the BJP on Sunday 'cleverly' highlighted 'ill-treatment' being meted out to Ghulam Nabi Azad by the Congress high-command.
BJP invoked Azad to rake up sentiments of the people of Jammu region to corner Congress in the remaining five phases of the DDCs elections. jammu, Dec 6: Even as a candidate for the ongoing District Development Council elections was recently injured when unidentified terrorists fired upon him in Kashmir, the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration displayed confusion on how to react to the dastardly act.
The fissures in the PAGD became even visible on December 4, when the DDC candidate, Anees Ul Islam of Apni Party was injured after unknown gunmen fired at him in Sagam area of Kokernag in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

SRINAGAR, Dec 6: The decentralization of registration or renewal of clinical establishments and nursing homes in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir is yet to take off since the authority set up in this regard is facing credibility crisis since it does not have backing of important stakeholders.
