Free to visit Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz longs for prolonged 'house arrest' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 7: The government has played a brilliant move that has exposed the doublespeak of senior separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Even as many are complaining that no congregational Friday prayers were being allowed at the historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta here since August 5, the fact of the matter is that "Mirwaiz is unwilling to come out of his villa."
Sources said around a fortnight ago, the government had sent message to Mirwaiz that why Jamia Masjid was not resuming the weekly congregational prayers as there were no restrictions from the side of the administration.
"He was asked reasons about delay in resumption of prayers at Jamia Masjid but he finally said he was not feeling well and thus would be unable to visit the place," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said Mirwaiz has been wishing that he is kept under house arrest for long lest he has to leave his cozy home.

Srinagar, Dec 7: In violation of Jammu and Kashmir Regulation of Private Tuition Rules and High Court directions, scores of private coaching centers here in the valley have failed to get the required registration from the government.
Official sources said that Education department had made the registration of coaching centers mandatory in 2013 after an acid attack on a female teacher near a tuition center in Srinagar.
