Terrorist hideout busted in Poonch, arms, ammo recovered | | |

Jammu, Feb 9: Security forces on Thursday recovered cache of arms and ammunition from a terrorist hideout busted in bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources said that a hideout was busted by joint team of Police and Army in Naka Manjari village of Mendhar in Poonch district.
"A pouch was found on the spot and during search, four AK rifle magazines, bullets, two grenades, explosive material, binocular and other war like stores was recovered," they said.

New Delhi, Feb 9: Over 69,000 cases are pending in the Supreme Court while there is a backlog of over 59 lakh cases in the country's 25 high courts, Rajya Sabha was informed on Thursday.
Citing details available on the Supreme Court's website, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said in a written reply that 69,511 cases were pending in the top court as on February 1.
"There are 59,87,477 cases pending in the high courts across the country as per the information available on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) on February 1, 2023," he said.
Out of these, 10.30 lakh cases were pending in the Allahabad High Court -- the biggest high court of the country.

SRINAGAR, Feb 9: Amid prevailing inclement weather conditions, Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority Thursday issued avalanche warning in twelve districts for upcoming 24 hours.
JKDMA issued a ‘Medium Level’ warning above 2000 to 2500 metres over Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Kulgam, Doda, Kishtwar and Poonch districts.
The authority also expressed apprehension of ‘Low Level’ avalanche occurrence above 2000 to 2500 metres over Reasi, Rajouri and Ramban districts.
