Srinagar, Feb 10: In a classic display of discipline, the Bharatiya Janta Party led government at the Centre has not been shielding any of its leaders allegedly found involved in the land grab in Jammu and Kashmir as could be seen in the last around a fortnight.
Recently authorities in Kashmir took possession of a commercial building constructed on the State land in the Srigufwara area of the district, allegedly belonging to BJP leader Sofi Yousuf.
Sources said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah have directed the administration to ensure discipline in land eviction.
As per the complainants, the family of Sofi Yousuf—who is the She Prabhari of the party had encroached over one kanal of State land at Srigufwara, Bijbehera and had raised a commercial building there. Yousuf claimed that he had documents of the land.
The concerned officials took possession of the building and handed it over to the Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir for further use.

New Delhi, Feb 10: The NEET-PG examination will be conducted as per schedule on March 5 for those aspiring to get admission to postgraduate medical courses, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told Lok Sabha on Friday.
To ensure that no one is left out, the ministry has extended the cut-off date for all those MBBS students who are yet to complete their internship, he said while replying to a question by Congress member Gaurav Gogoi.

Jammu, Feb 10: A Government school teacher was arrested by police for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said.
The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Poonch has suspended the teacher and a departmental probe was ordered against him, they said. Station House Officer (SHO) of Gursai Police station Farooq Ahmed said the teacher has been arrested following the allegations.
“The staff members of the school had gone to attend a funeral. Only the accused teacher was left in the school,” he said.

Srinagar, Feb 10: Two women were rescued after a snow avalanche hit the Manzgund area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday, officials said.
Police said two women identified as Tabassum Bano and Shahnaza Begum went out to collect drinking water from a nearby tap when they came under a medium avalanche in Mazgund area of Tulail Friday morning.
They said soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by local residents and after strenuous efforts both were rescued alive. However, no damage has been reported in the incident so far, they added.
